As I’m sure everyone knows, audio is king when it comes to any sort of video production. Having crisp and clear audio is key when it comes to presenting your content to your audience.

We’ve admittedly struggled with perfecting our audio over the years, but I think we’re finally polishing the quality, and a big reason is using secondary audio besides the in-body or shoe-mout microphone on a camera. In our case it’s a Zoom H1 recorder with a lavalier mic.

I compared three different lavalier microphones that we’ve used for various purposes and hopefully this can help in your decision making process.
